About the Role
This exciting role is within the SCOTCH CATEGORY, Brand Change & Innovation team which delivers projects for Diageo Innovation, Global Brand Teams and Markets. Scotch Category Brand Change & Innovation is set up to deliver Innovation, Renovation, Limited time offerings & VAP across our iconic Scotch & Malt Whisky portfolio, including Johnnie Walker, Buchanan’s, J&B, Bell’s, Black & White, White Horse, Talisker, Singleton, Mortlach
As a Project Manager in SCOTCH CATEGORY Brand Change, you’ll deliver Brand Change projects by leading cross-functional teams developing new products & redesigning existing products to meet customer briefs in terms of quality, cost and time. You will play a key role in delivering Diageo’s Sustainability targets across our product portfolio, alongside productivity improvements
Support the Brand Change Manager in delivering the project pipeline and working to support our key stakeholders (inside and outside of wider Brand Change teams) to deliver our brand ambitions.
Ensure the application of required project planning, budgeting, tracking, reporting and stakeholder communications processes to demonstrate required rigour of project management. Develop packaging components to product development and manufacturing interface standards.
This role will give the successful candidate great exposure to many of the functions within Diageo, including Marketing, Innovation, Sustainability, Procurement, Distillation & Maturation, Manufacturing, Finance, Data and Supply Chain. A fantastic platform where you can demonstrate your leadership & technical skills to ensure successful project delivery.
About you
We’re looking for people with character: motivated, resilient, and open-minded. You’ll be commercially astute; target driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also be ready to build strong relationships with customers, and everyone you work with.
You will have a degree level qualification or equivalent, ideally in a technical area. Institute of Packaging Diploma or equivalent, or a willingness to undertake training. Demonstrate Strong project management skills with sound knowledge of a wide range of packaging materials and processes including, liquid development, new product commercialisation, design and development of packaging and materials. As well as material manufacturing, handling, transportation, and transit robustness. An ability to implement risk management practices and techniques and develop sound understanding of new product development process. Excellent organisation, report preparation, and presentation skills.
