What's on offer
- Title: Project Manager
- Location: Home Based
- Salary: Up to £38k per annum DoE
- Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full Time
**This is a 12-month fixed term contract for Maternity cover.**
Do you have experience with managing complex projects? Do you consider yourself to be organised with an optimistic approach to tasks? Are you a team player with great communication skills? If so, you should join our friendly team as a Project Manager working on a home-based basis.
In this exciting role, you will deliver key projects for our valued customers in line with agreed timeframes and costs. You will also define the risks for each individual project, maintain risk logs and implement contingency plans to protect the project and the business. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced Project Management Team working with a wide range of projects and customers.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Creating, managing and maintaining project plans
- Identifying resources required and assign individual responsibilities
- Providing a single point of contact for customer and internal stakeholders
- Managing the P&L associated with the project to track cost against budget raising Project Changes in a timely manner, ensure customer instigated changes are properly captured, approved and funded
- Recording own time in line with company policy, ensure others within the team are also recording and submitting time accurately and in line with policy for approval by the PM
- Travelling to customer sites when necessary
- Chairing regular project reviews with client representatives and project team members, report regularly on project progress to the client and line management.
- Providing and maintaining accurate forecasting of revenue for invoicing and revenue recognition purposes
- Acting as a point of escalation when necessary or requested
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within the ICT industry with knowledge of either Cloud, Connectivity or Communications workstreams
- Experience of people management
- Experience of using Microsoft Project or Excel to manage project delivery
- Understanding of P&L’s as well as practical knowledge of sales and billing cycles/process
- Excellent understanding of Risk and Issue management with demonstrable practical experience
- Experience and understanding of working within an ITIL based organisation
