The Opportunity
- ·The PMO Support role is an exciting new opportunity to join a small but experienced FS team
- The purpose of this role is to provide general support to a project in a number of areas; governance requirements, reporting, assurance processes, project management processes.
- This role will act as a central point of co-ordination to deliver EU & UK Motor Insurance project.
- Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this is a chance to play a lead role in what is a relatively small team within a large established global company.
- The successful candidate will also need to work closely with internal departments, NSC's & FS&I partners to pro-actively drive vehicle sales & customer loyalty through financial services.
Key Performance Indicators
- Responsible for programme / project governance
- Creating materials and reports to key project and BAU forums up to Board of Management level
- Ensure robust, effective project plans are created
- Direct / assist / quality assure project controls for live projects
- Provide support capabilities in best practice in Project Portfolio Management
- Creating reporting templates for the projects or programmes, setting out programme standards and tools and defining reporting timetables to ensure provision of reliable and consistent status information
- Take a 'Hands on' involvement in working with the Senior Project Managers and core project teams.
- This is very much a team role you will liaise with the wider business, technology teams, other core departments and key strategic partners of the Client.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Accountability for the management of the programme management office to ensure successful delivery of programme and business objectives
- Provide overall leadership for the team offering general support on projects in a number of areas; governance requirements, reporting, assurance processes, project management processes, general communications to support the delivery of key financial services strategic change programmes
- Oversee the management and implementation of the programme’s governance framework
- Develop colleagues with training and contacts in the preparation of key gateways and support the roll-out of improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working on programmes across the area and define best practices
- Accountable for budget by monitoring and reporting costs against benefits as the programme progresses
- Lead and plan the development of the blueprint with input and approval from change management resources
- Relationship management with internal and external supplier relationships with the programme
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders through regular input and communications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Experience of financial services
- Experience of working on projects
- Previous experience of working in the Project Support role in a large company
- Demonstrable experience of process improvement and working in a project support role
- Good understanding of project management principles
- Proficient communication and organisational skills
- Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
