The Role
We are looking for a confident and dynamic project manager, ideally from a joinery background to deliver diverse projects from conception to completion.
This is a key role that encapsulates design development, sampling, coordinating subcontracted specialist packages, coordinating installation, quality assessment and snagging on site.
Being commercially minded will help as part of this role will include being able to identify and manage variations to specification and design that have a cost impact.
You will be procuring samples to match client specification, creating and keeping records of the sampling process, reviewing and commenting client intent drawings, surveying site dimensions and then instructing the CAD team to produce shop drawings to then developing and workshopping fabrication details with our joinery workshop.
This is a client facing role therefore excellent written and spoken communication skills are a must.
Main responsibilities
- Take lead role in design development phase through leading design workshops with the client and reviewing internal drawings
- Preparing schedules for sampling and procurement
- Procuring specialist finishes
- Providing programme information to project stakeholders
- Coordinating and liaising with manufacturing teams at all stages
- Pricing and preparation of joinery quotes
- Tracking and pricing variations
- Carry out joinery site surveys
- Snagging joinery installations on site
- Creating and managing snag schedules
Skills and Abilities
- Autodesk AutoCAD would be beneficial
- Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of joinery design and fabrication processes
- Full UK driving license
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
