They have demonstrable and repeated experience in the practical application of project management methods, controls, and disciplines to deliver successful, large-scale change.
Working in a fast-paced environment, with a large cross-functional project or programme team, you’ll be required to keep tasks on track, sending progress communications to stakeholders, and ensuring any issues are resolved as efficiently as possible. The Lead Project Manager’s personal impact and proven ability to lead from the front are key requirements for this role. This is a full-time permanent position with a flexible approach to work, predominantly remote working but with an expectation to work in our Skipton office up to 40% of the time when needed.
This role requires you to plan, manage and deliver strategic Regulatory, Client or Internal Major Change projects from initiation through to implementation and to deliver agreed objectives within budget, scope, and defined quality standards.
You’ll be responsible for developing project plans, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, and agreeing deliverables required. Pulling together information from across the business to create an achievable plan for each event, and then managing it through to completion.
- As a Lead Project Manager, you will drive the shaping, planning, control, and delivery of large or complex projects from concept registration through to implementation and hyper-care
- Projects will be cross-functional and will involve business sponsors and stakeholders up to and including executive level
- You will take ownership for the end-to-end delivery of the project, establishing a strong governance structure and tight project controls, operating within the CLS Major Change Framework across the full project life cycle
- You will understand the strategic objectives of your project and will set the direction of the project correspondingly
- You will agree and communicate clear goals and milestones and will build and motivate your team to meet them
- You will question and challenge appropriately, using your negotiating skills and the recognised channels to present updates and seek decisions and resolutions.
- You will drive delivery, ensuring that project issues and risks are identified, managed, and mitigated promptly, escalating exceptions only where required
You will be experienced and qualified in programme and project management, PRINCE2 or equivalent. You will have recognised leadership skills and will contribute to innovative PM practices within the team. Effective networking skills at senior leadership and board level will be a strength of yours, and you will excel in Project Management. You will have recognised impact and influencing skills, be effective in negotiation and naturally strategic in your approach.
A commercial awareness, aptitude for coaching and mentoring and a good knowledge of people management, practices and procedures will be essential to you as an effective Lead Project Manager within Computershare. You will have an extensive proven track record in project and programme management through the full project life cycle.
