An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and capable Project Manager to deliver the Finance workstream of the North West London Integrated Care System's (NWL ICS) Corporate Development Programme.

Finance is one of six work streams within the corporate programme. Our vision for finance is to provide a high quality and value-adding finance function through:

This post will be employed by Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of North West London ICS.

This post holder will focus specifically on the planning and implementation of the North West London single finance system and service centre and will support the Programme Manager on the delivery of the initiative and its programme of work, in a dynamic and complex environment.

The post holder should have experience of working in a project management environment with an ability to take ownership of areas of work and manage all aspects of agreed projects, including their planning, design, execution, evaluation, documentation, and completion. Evidence of effective delivery is a pre-requisite for applicants.

Individuals must be able to build positive working relationships with staff at all levels and across all organisations, with operational and clinical teams, and teams within finance, ICT, procurement services.

The role will require working flexibly to tight timescales across multiple teams and work streams. A commitment to co-production is essential. Individuals will need to be able to work with minimal supervision.

The role is a 1 year fixed term contract.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provide services from two main hospitals, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital, and a number of clinics across London and the South-East.

This post is hosted at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Trust on behalf of North West London Integrated Care System (ICS), which is one of the biggest and most complex ICSs. We have a diverse population of over 2.4 million people with multiple providers including 350 GP practices, eight local authorities and integrated care partnerships, 45 primary care networks, four mental health/community acute trusts and four acute trusts and numerous voluntary organisations. We have the largest ICS budget in the country and strong history of joint working across the health and care system. We employ circa 65,000 people in NHS organisations.

The Project Manager will be a key member of the Programme Delivery team, leading core project management functions (reporting, action tracking, forward planners, risk and issue logs etc.) and ensuring that all project documentation is complete, regularly reviewed and kept up to date.

The Project Manager will support the Programme Manager on the development of all aspects of the initiative, working with all partner organisations and potential system providers. The postholder will support the production of content supporting the development of the initiative, key meetings with senior and executive colleagues and key decision points. The role will also include evaluation and monitoring processes to measure project benefits, and will work to resolve any potential conflicts between the project objectives and stakeholder needs.

Write highly complex, detailed reports for a variety of senior audiences, e.g. board papers, multi-stranded business cases, and options appraisals.
Use negotiating skills to persuade senior managers on the importance of programme initiatives.

Make formal presentations to large groups of people often at a very senior level.
