Black Box is hiring a Project Manager - Cabling Infrastructure in UK!!!
Objectives of the job: To manage large-scale UK & EMEA Hardware Infrastructure Projects (Structured Cabling, Fiber, etc), Support Contracts and Key Accounts. Ensuring Quality of both installations and service delivery as well as increasing revenue potential, and profitability and ensuring client retention and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run multiple projects and converse at a senior level within the accounts.
- Be the primary interface and contact on behalf of Black Box to Key UK clients and customer project leaders, including where necessary leading the tender responses and presentations to the potential customers.
- Some pre-sales duties, for example, influencing opportunity qualification and producing quotes and tender documents
- Development and implementation of necessary working processes and project delivery procedures to successfully deliver key projects, support contracts and/or generally service key client requirements
- Be responsible for controlling these projects, and support contracts on site, to ensure the standard of workmanship is as expected, and to deal with any H&S, personnel, or site issues as they arise
- Be responsible for controlling the project finances and financial reporting in monthly or ad-hoc reporting meetings. This will include P&L, estimations, quotations, invoicing, variations and forecasting.
- Risk Management and Quality Control of the project and other support activities carried out on the clients’ sites from a commercial and technical aspect as well as ensuring H&S requirements are met in full

Necessary qualifications/ experience
- Min 5 years of Project experience, within the industry
- Commercially aware
- Preferably Prince 2, or a similar standard of Project Management
- Prepared to travel to the site and possibly stay away from home as necessary
Additional information
The ideal candidate needs to be located/living in the vicinity of the Midlands/M4 corridor between Swindon and London.
