Who we are looking for

A Project Manager who will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering technological change to our platform.

Working in our IT Services and Information Security portfolio, you will deliver projects that support various initiatives within the business to upgrade existing services. You will on-board new products and solutions to our internal users, whilst providing support to the wider business, ensuring security and compliance throughout.

You will run a multitude of projects, including proof of concepts for new technologies, refreshing or replacing existing platforms and services, and support various initiatives such as cloud services and Bring Your Own Device.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred skills and experience

Degree level qualification or equivalent, including a recognised Project Practioner level qualification, for example Prince or MSP.
Experience in IT Services and Information Security project management, working in a technically complex environment, whilst managing multiple concurrent projects.
Demonstrable experience managing third parties, including stakeholder management.
Familiarity in dealing directly with technical functions, including architecture, database, network and security, infrastructure platforms, IT operations, software development, test and release management.
Broad knowledge of project management terminology, tools, techniques and ICT contracts.
Pragmatism to the delivery approach, giving real consideration to the best and most efficient way to plan and release solutions.
Understanding and experience of a variety of test approaches, both functional and non-functional.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills using a range of styles, tools and techniques to ensure communicative clarity.
Excellent organisational and planning skills, with a great attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise multiple tasks, whilst working towards strict deadlines, and delivering projects in line with business expectations.

Main Responsibilities

Owning projects from initiation through to delivery and closure within agreed timescales.
Ensuring all projects are resourced, planned and controlled correctly, using the tools necessary to manage scope, time, risk, issues and quality.
Identifying and managing project and inter-project dependencies, including critical path to ensure projects are delivered smoothly.
Creating and nurturing a team identity, by communicating and delegating tasks appropriately, ensuring business objectives are met.
Defining scope and solutions of projects by creating appropriate project artefacts, such as Statement of Work and project plans, ensuring all due diligence and compliance tasks are completed and issues are resolved as necessary, by reporting and escalating to management where appropriate.
Ensuring relevant project stakeholders are engaged appropriately whilst providing project updates on progress and risks.
Working directly with technical leads and project team members to provide support and direction as required, contributing towards overall project objectives and deliverables.
Following delivery, activity, providing examples and making changes based on actions to improve the department’s delivery capability.
