Job description
The objective of the Decarbonisation Net Zero Programme is to assist small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in this region to reduce their carbon footprint. The project comprises a small, dedicated team, supported by academics across disciplines at Aston University led by the project lead, Professor Prasanta Dey. Based at Aston Business School, the project is seeking to recruit a project Manager to support activities in the above regions.
You will undertake key Project Management responsibilities for the Aston University initiative. This post is part-funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA). The role will involve overseeing the engagement of businesses onto the project, setting up workshop events, managing systems and process and liaising with university academics to ensure a package of advice and support is offered to businesses. At the end of the project the Project Manager will oversee the delivery of a project evaluation.
The role holder is responsible for undertaking work relating to the organisation and delivery of the project, as well as work relating to evaluating different aspects of the project in line with the requirements of the funders agreement (WMCA), under the general guidance of the Project Director. The role involves collecting, analysing and interpreting data relating to the energy efficiency audits and client workshops. Work includes preparing reports of the findings from assessments carried with SMEs for public presentations through seminars and conferences.
The role is a full time position on a fixed term contract, based at Aston University campus with frequent visits to various company premises in West Midlands region.
