Unreal Engine AI Intern Programmer
Epic Games is on the lookout for dynamic interns to join our dev teams in 2024. Whether you work on Fortnite, Unreal Engine, or any of our other games, products, and services, you'll join a team that's pushing the limits of interactive entertainment.

What You'll Do
Epic Games Unreal Engine Team is looking for creative Engine AI Programmer Interns to join them in 2024. This team is responsible for developing the tools of AI technologies that are then consumed by game content creators and developers alike, whether it be Fortnite, or any other games being developed with Unreal.
In this role, you will
- Create and iterate on Unreal Engine AI Tools such as Behaviors Trees, StateTrees, SmartObject, Navigation systems, etc
- Support technical excellence of Fortnite on multiple platforms
- Optimize and fix bugs in existing Unreal Engine AI systems
- Contribute ideas toward the game’s AI production and development
- Write robust, maintainable C++ code
What we're looking for
- Strong C++ knowledge is a must
- Portfolio showcasing projects of gameplay and AI coding utilizing C++
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine is an Asset
- Passionate about game development and Epic Games products
- Exceptional communication skills and experience working within a team
- Able to react and respond effectively to coding feedback
This internship has a flexible start date in 2024. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
