Project Manager - Adaptations Team
Armstrong After Care Services is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and results-driven Project Manager to join our Adaptations Team in ensuring that vulnerable members of our society have safe and accessible homes. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of adaptations and renovations to homes of individuals with disabilities, elderly people, veterans, and others in need of support.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the adaptations team in managing, coordinating, and implementing projects from conception to completion
- Oversee the planning and design of adaptations, including feasibility studies and cost estimates
- Establish project schedules and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Manage subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship and compliance with building regulations
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Ensure that all adaptations are completed to meet required specification and quality standards
- Proactively identify and mitigate any risks or issues that may arise during the project
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a project manager, particularly in adaptations or renovations to homes
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively and outside the box
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Knowledge of building regulations and health and safety practices
- Knowledge of adaptations to vulnerable peoples homes is highly preferred
