Project Manager - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 12 months (with possible extension)

Location: Remote Working (flexibility required for travel – UK Wide)
Job Purpose:
To support the Programme Manager in managing the operations process and delivering a range of interventions across the portfolio of Place programme, with the new innovation Accelerators being the jobholders’ priority in 2022/23.
The role holders’ duties will include programme development, delivery, evaluation and reporting. They will work closely with other Programme & Project managers and internal and external stakeholders to ensure interfaces and dependencies between systems and projects are managed effectively.
As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities would be:
- Day-to-day project management of operations throughout the full lifecycle of the programme from project commissioning through to evaluation, working closely with the Programme Manager, and in collaboration with Innovate UK / UKRI / BEIS Innovation & Place policy teams.
- Support and deputise for the Programme Manager
- Management of internal stakeholders for successful operational delivery, addressing issues with senior stakeholders ensuring they are fully engaged and able to support delivery.
- Coordinate multi-disciplined teams, both internal and third party, to achieve project deliverables to schedule, to budget and to the required quality.
- Stakeholder identification and management, including regular, appropriate and timely communications throughout the programme
- Ensuring project documentation including governance documents, KPIs, and highlight reports are maintained.
- Generation of accurate, relevant and timely reporting to enable progress to be tracked centrally.
- Embed monitoring, evaluation and benefits realisation within the programme
- Delivery of process improvements delivering resource efficiencies within the organisation
- Provide secretariat to programme-related meetings as required.
- Report into Programme boards
- Share best practice with, manage and mentor other team members and across the organisation
- Delivering ad-hoc project work as directed by senior managers.
You’ll have relevant experience in:
- Considerable experience of managing or playing a key role in projects delivering a broad range of benefits
- Experience of delivering projects within a programme structure
- A clear-track record of working within the constraints of time, cost and quality.
- Clear experience of achieving results through influencing skills rather than direct control
- Experience of successfully managing multiple stakeholders with conflicting demands and priorities
- Significant experience of managing projects and supporting cross functional teams delivering process improvements into operations
- Experience of managing change within an organisation
Desirable:
- Experience delivering business critical changes into active environments.
- Experience of creation and management of on-going service and support structures delivering business critical services a benefit
- Understanding of structure of government and key UKRI partner organisations as well as its constituent agencies and brands, as well as the Devolved Administrations
- Prince 2, MSP and/or Lean Six Sigma methodologies or clear previous experience
