Job description
Have you played a pivotal support role on IT change projects within acute hospital settings?
Would you be interested in the variety of occasional short-term working overseas, whilst also having a contract OUTSIDE of IR35?
Then this could be the contract for you..........................please read on!
Role Summary:
Our client is within the Healthcare Digital sector and they are currently seeking an IT Project Support Manager to join them on a 12+ month programme to support the implementation of Oracle Cerner's EPR, Cerner Millennium. Whilst the majority of the role will be delivered in the UK and via a remote-working virtual team, the implementation is for an overseas healthcare organisation in the EU, so very occasional travel to Europe may be required (and fully expensed). The role is likely to be almost 100% remote working for the first six months, but this could ramp up to 3-5 days per month later in the programme as we approach go-live. Therefore, any applicant would need to be happy and willing to consider very occasional work in Europe.
The role will be OUTSIDE of IR35 and rates will be in the region of £300 per day, but may potentially be further flexible for a really strong candidate.
Job Description:
As a Project Support Manager on this Cerner Millennium EPR implementation, you would be joining the programme with approximately a year before go-live. You will be supporting Programme Leads and Senior Project Managers with a wide range of high-level project support and governance tasks for allocated programme workstreams. This will include the below tasks:
- Regular maintenance, monitoring and tracking of Project Plans
- Regular management and escalation of risks and issues, including monitoring, tracking and resolution via RAID logs.
- Work with senior managers to plan, prepare and administer meetings.
- Work with the senior managers to prepare presentations and manage programme reporting.
- Respond to stakeholder queries; report writing, analysis and documentation review.
- Performance reviewing and management of suppliers, key stakeholders and programme resources.
- Supporting and deputising the Project Management team in project delivery tasks as and when required.
Candidate Essential Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the below skills and experience to offer:
- A track-record in senior-level project support provision or recent project management experience.
- Proven skills and competencies to effectively establish, track, govern and manage high-profile IT change projects.
- Experience of supporting IT change programmes within acute hospital settings, ideally clinical systems related.
- A proactive mindset with raising risks and issues and leading on programme improvements.
- Proven ability to work effectively and autonomously in a virtual team environment.
