We're currently recruiting for the following permanent position in Cheltenham, Gloucester.
Required: Electrical Project Manager
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucester
Pay rate: £400 per day.
Duration: 3-6 months (to finish project)
Duties: Procurement ǀ Managing Sub Contractors/Staff/Labour ǀ Preparing Site reports and variations ǀ Involved with Design ǀ Managing multiple projects on time and within budget ǀ Costing Variations ǀ Scheduling work to be done for the day ǀ Prepare project specifications ǀ Carrying out inspections ǀ Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety ǀ Building relationships with Sub contractors
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manage site-based teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Environmental Policy, Quality Assurance and Purchasing
- Ensure works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards and codes of practice
- Set firm financial targets to meet established objectives, which will include the reporting of financial status to the Commercial Managers
- Provide tendering facilities for extra project works to suit client requirements.
- Lead, motivate and develop site based teams
- Nurture customer relationships and provide excellent customer service
- Offer technical support to the customer and site-based teams utilising central departments, specialist suppliers and sub-contractors]
What we are looking for
- Qualified to at least HNC level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent but will preferably have attained chartered engineer status and hold a relevant degree or equivalent
- Previous management experience combined with good electrical technical knowledge
- Detailed commercial, design, financial and project knowledge of multi-discipline contracts.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills - ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- High level of self-motivation, organisational ability and drive to meet deadlines
- Confidence and commitment to providing a high quality, professional service
- Possess clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
