Job description
- Identifies the scope of their project deliverables and defines a plan and reporting and governance structure within the programme boundaries
- Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects including progress reporting, dependencies, issues, risks, escalations and constraints (resources/ time/ budget)
- Defining the roles and responsibilities for all project team members at the start of the project and ensuring that they are agreed and communicated
- Manages scope and expectations of the project and ensure scope changes are considered from resource and cost and time perspective to seek necessary approval within the programme governance structures
- Oversees Subject Matter Experts’ or other teams who are involved in components of project delivery.
- Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
- Identifying, addressing and resolving differences between individuals and/or interest groups
- Builds strong relationships with business stakeholders
- Preparing, chairing and following up of project meetings including RAID management
- Producing and collating reports on project progress metrics to project/ programme leadership, senior sponsors and the steering committees as required to keep them informed
- Report on project success criteria results and manages communication with stakeholders on progress of project as well as issues / risks
- Promoting strong leadership behaviours in all actions, acting in a transparent and appropriate manner in dealings with stakeholders and members of project teams and the organisation
- Ensuring that the Project team is adopting the prescribed Project Management Framework, including applicable standards and methods
- Between controls projects ensure learning from experience is disseminated across the Programme.
- You have proven experience in Project lifecycle delivery.
- You operate and develop relationships at all levels in a matrix organistion.
- You have negotiating, problem solving and conflict management internally and externally.
- You can demonstrate a high level of motivation, flexibility, drive and personal commitment.
- You have effective time management and organisational skills.
- You are able to inspire and motivate teams.
- You have Project Management qualifications e.g Prince2, PMI PMP, Agile Scrum master.
- In addition, ideally, the candidate will also have an understanding of:
- User access processes (e.g. joiners/movers/leavers)
- IT development processes
