Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Project Manager is responsible to ensure successful delivery of a Control Transformation project(s) by providing specialist expertise, knowledge and facilitation across projects. This includes, but is not limited to: overseeing the execution against the plan to drive the desired outcomes, resources, budget and benefits for their area, scope, and maintaining regular reporting and risks/issues management. They set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Identifies the scope of their project deliverables and defines a plan and reporting and governance structure within the programme boundaries
  • Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects including progress reporting, dependencies, issues, risks, escalations and constraints (resources/ time/ budget)
  • Defining the roles and responsibilities for all project team members at the start of the project and ensuring that they are agreed and communicated
  • Manages scope and expectations of the project and ensure scope changes are considered from resource and cost and time perspective to seek necessary approval within the programme governance structures
  • Oversees Subject Matter Experts’ or other teams who are involved in components of project delivery.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
  • Identifying, addressing and resolving differences between individuals and/or interest groups
  • Builds strong relationships with business stakeholders
  • Preparing, chairing and following up of project meetings including RAID management
  • Producing and collating reports on project progress metrics to project/ programme leadership, senior sponsors and the steering committees as required to keep them informed
  • Report on project success criteria results and manages communication with stakeholders on progress of project as well as issues / risks
  • Promoting strong leadership behaviours in all actions, acting in a transparent and appropriate manner in dealings with stakeholders and members of project teams and the organisation
  • Ensuring that the Project team is adopting the prescribed Project Management Framework, including applicable standards and methods
  • Between controls projects ensure learning from experience is disseminated across the Programme.

  • You are able to inspire and motivate teams.
  • You have Project Management qualifications e.g Prince2, PMI PMP, Agile Scrum master.
  • In addition, ideally, the candidate will also have an understanding of:
  • User access processes (e.g. joiners/movers/leavers)
  • IT development processes
