Superb opportunity to work alongside the management team at Airbus Portsmouth. Working with the production engineering and operational teams to meet time, quality, cost and safety requirements, driving continuous improvement and ensuring effective communication within the team and key interfaces.

AIRBUS Portsmouth is the centre of excellence for Telecommunications Satellite Payload Assembly Integration and Test (AIT). This exciting placement offers the opportunity to experience the reality of Aerospace Operational Project Management. Working on existing and new product lines. Delivering Telecommunication Payloads on time, on quality on cost, in a safe and healthy environment with competent and engaged people.

What you will be doing:

At Airbus we strive for operational excellence and you will be working within the Operations Project Management Office (PMO) supporting the introduction of the brand new OneSat Payload product line.

In addition to this you will support the evolution of the PMO dashboard and the associated processes to effectively monitor progress and identify inefficiencies / risk. This will then drive process improvements which you will support the definition, deployment and verification of.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Studying towards Programme management, Aerospace or Operations, or other related subjects;
• Understanding of Lean processes;
• Some level of negotiation skills;
• Work autonomously and be proactive;
• Keen interest in Aerospace.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
