Job description
We are recruiting a Project Management Officer to join the vibrant and inclusive Strategic Change Office (SCO) at the University of Manchester. The SCO, part of the Directorate of Planning, supports University-wide change to transform our services and activities. Under the direction of a Project Manager and Business Leads, the post holder will take responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale change projects or workstreams (typically lasting 6-12 months), with direct business impact and defined deadlines.
The post holder will identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project and ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained while providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders where appropriate.
They will collaborate and engage with stakeholders to ensure consistent quality in delivery, and reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure. They will manage the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off. The role will be responsible for undertaking a variety of people, change, process and technology assignments across the portfolio as required.
