Job description
Project Management Office (PMO) Contract Security and Risk Manager
- Document management, ensuring compliance with agreed document standards and templates
- Analysis of contract data to qualify/articulate trends and themes focussing on key message types, as required by primary governance forums.
- Management of programme risks and issues, and drives progress, escalating/reporting as appropriate and effectively escalating when risks are not being addressed, and ensures high scoring risks receive appropriate attention.
- Create/collate and assure key reports that support the SMT, Delivery and Service Operations teams.
- Identify and assess opportunities for improvement in both business process and PMO service delivery.
- Help to define, maintain and drive the implementation of processes owned by the PMO.
- Cost monitoring and project reporting to appropriate governance boards.
- Ensuring all governance related documentation is completed/prepared for key meetings.
- Identify all required escalations, validate, and ensure Delivery Lead visibility.
- Manage readiness for, and engagement with, internal audit and any external audit teams deployed.
- Validate project/workstream compliance with programme governance requirements and framework, including reporting deliverable readiness, and alignment of projects/workstreams to governance Stage
- Management of the business case process, approvals and generation of Purchase orders with our IBUY community.
- Weekly reporting into the Programme Director
- Good working knowledge of project management principles, methods, techniques and tools.
- Experience of providing effective PMO services to support successful project delivery.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ensure risks/issues/dependencies are managed in a consistent way and are reported on as appropriate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An eye for detail and an organised method of working.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- An ability to achieve outcomes, whilst finding innovative solutions.
- High proficiency using Microsoft Office packages, specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word.
- Prince 2 or ITIL qualified (desirable).
- An appreciation of quality principles and quality systems.
- A self-starter that has a strong ability to self-manage and achieve the required outcome if working alone. With a pragmatic and flexible approach to problem solving
