What You’ll Do

As the Director of Project Management you will efficiently plan and prioritise all deliverables and resources by coordinating with different departments across multiple projects. You will manage client expectations, schedules, budgets, assets and scopes.

You will lead, empower, develop, and motivate a team of Project Managers and indirectly our freelance contractors, and make timely decisions to ensure project success within budget, time, and quality parameters.

This role calls for an experienced project management professional who is an adaptable individual who can lead a team and apply efficient project methods. To be successful, you must be able to focus on the details, while also being aware of strategic objectives and needs.

  • Serve as a champion and advocate of agency processes and workflows, while always evolving and adding new PM processes to enhance agency operations
  • Coordinate with account management and service delivery teams to drive best-in-class solutions for our clients
  • Ensure teams are delivering in accordance with the agreed Scope of Work
  • Review resources across all accounts, and work with the relevant department to manage utilisation
  • Partner with account team on the creation and maintenance of project timelines, project plans, and status documents
  • Manage direct reports (and indirectly FSDs) on the Project Management team, including 1:1 meetings, mentoring/coaching, project issue resolution, performance appraisals, and career development
  • Understand agency goals; incorporating them into daily work and ensuring the team is working in support of them
  • Ensuring projects are delivered - efficiently, on time and within budget without compromising on quality and reporting the stats on this into the Exec team
  • Create project process frameworks, in liaison with relevant stakeholders
  • Supporting with new business pitches ensuring we deliver them to the best of our ability


In addition to this, you will empower our existing project management team to ensure effective and efficient project management on client accounts and offer guidance in these areas:

  • Managing client projects in line with the standard project management methodologies and with a focus on the client’s business need
  • Supporting with onboarding new client projects
  • Conducting individual client project reviews/audits where requested (including scheduling and conducting feedback sessions, presenting reported findings and making recommendations)
  • Encourage collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective project managers
  • Align our business goals with a solid understanding of the services and business models
  • Making sure firm foundations are in place in order to incrementally develop project deliverables
  • Ensure a constant circle of amendments and reviews for iterative development of service deliverables
  • Demonstrate control by always knowing where we are with timelines, anticipating roadblocks, and being proactive with facilitating solutions with relevant stakeholders
  • Project manage a full range of service deliverables, creation and management of timelines, monitoring and reporting on progress, for your client projects
  • Support project teams by inputting into Action Plans, ensuring they are delivered and driving opportunities for improvement and upsell

  • Collaborative and conscientious communicator with effective relationship building skills
  • A sound knowledge of agency delivery within Social Media

Requirements

  • Proven experience of Project Management, preferably in a global marketing agency setting, leading work for high-profile brands (Social Media an advantage)
  • Proven proactive leadership ability in growing teams and previous management experience including proven track record of leading projects which include multiple deliverables across strategy, creative and content.
  • Strong financial management skills, including scoping, burn report tracking, resource allocation across project tasks. Prior experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and scopes is beneficial.
  • Technical knowledge including proficiency in project management tools and Excel
  • Comfortable digging into account finances: developing staffing models, writing SOWs, etc.
  • Impeccable organisation and time management skills
  • Experience of creating and/or delivering client facing and internal reports
