What does taking part in the Collins Aerospace Project Management Degree Apprenticeship involve?
Aimed at ambitious individuals eager to work for one of the world’s biggest aerospace companies, the scheme will provide you with opportunities to progress your career. This is a unique opportunity to gain a degree qualification at no cost whilst learning and earning on the job.
You will complete a number of rotations based within our Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning function. To give you the exposure to a variety of roles – and discover exactly what suits you and your talents – you’ll rotate through core areas of the function such as:
- Production Control
- Materials Management
- Logistics
- Aftermarket
- Transformation
You will also have the opportunity to self-select a rotation to support your individual development plan.
Development and training to build your career
We recognise that your development is key for you to fulfil your potential in the world of work. That’s why we’ve created a programme that will support your learning to deliver real business value.
The degree apprenticeship programme lasts for a period of 3 years and is a partnership between Collins Aerospace and Aston University. You will learn key project management principles at Aston University which will be vital to your development at Collins Aerospace such as:
- Operations Management
- Principles of Project Management
- Leadership and Change Management
- Strategic Management
By the end of the programme, having completed your rotations and degree apprenticeship, you will be awarded a BSc in Project Management.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for the best individuals who have the following attributes:
- Minimum of 3 A Levels at CCC or above, or equivalent BTECs and have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at Grade C/4 or above including Mathematics and English
- Good analytical skills and problem solving
- Good personal management and self-organisation skills
- Effective communicator – written and verbal
