Job Summary
Convatec are launching an ambitious Smart Factory initiative to modernize manufacturing facilities and processes. Smart Factory Junior Business Analysts is required to contribute to the design, deliver and management of the technology solution required to achieve a high-level of industry 4.0 maturity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Create process flow maps for various processes.
- Completing functional analysis and preparing the requirements for MES modelling.
- Modelling various production activities in MES system.
- Creating the MES training material.
- Supporting operators by providing the on-job training when the MES system is implemented.
- Contribute/manage trial activities.
- Work with the wider Smart Factory team (IT and Business) to ensure frictionless adoption of the MES product.
- Create 3D models for the various production lines.
- Key member of multi-functional Smart Factory project team implementing MES across Convatec’ s global manufacturing facilities.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Operations and Engineering to gather functional requirements and playback these requirements to Convatec’ s chosen MES partner for implementation.
- Provide input into the prioritisation and delivery of the project backlog.
- Support the Smart Factory in testing the MES.
- Support the Smart Factory team in defining and delivering MES training.
Travel Requirements
Percentage of working time involving travel, and travel destination(s)
Example: Position may involve travel up to 25% of the time, mostly within Europe but overseas travel is expected. Most trips will include overnight travel.
About You
Good knowledge of Industry 4.0 and MES implementation/operation.
- Good knowledge of 3D modeling.
- Manufacturing Processes experience.
- Process re-engineering (Lean Six Sigma), complex data analysis and data visualization experience
- An effective communicator, with the ability to manage ambiguity in requirements and articulate the problem/challenge to all levels of stakeholders.
- A “can do” attitude that drives and galvanizes the team to achieve the required goals of Smart Factory
