- Prepares schedules for resources used and applies time constraints to these, reviews and updates project related activities as well as identifying critical dates relevant to these events.
- Identifies and implements responses to risks, following up, adapting and escalating as appropriate.
- Lead structured problem solving at a practical level.
- Provide effective support to all levels of staff in technical matters as appropriate.
- Lead, and participate in, teams undertaking development projects on both a local and global level in line with key customer and market demands.
- In line with MAHLE development process, create and maintain defined quality and project documentation.
- Support projects and continuous improvement activities based on the use of the defined processes and tools.
- Based on insights from market trend monitoring and benchmarking contribute to the internal innovation process by generating ideas as well as writing and presenting technical papers.
- A Degree or M.Sc. in an Engineering or Science related subject.
- Good organisational skills and proven knowledge of project management (essential)
- Experience of continuous improvement (essential)
- Manages stakeholders effectively, actively seeks and assesses information and feedback from stakeholders that may impact on future change initiatives (essential)
- Commercial awareness of project deliverables or component supply (desirable)
- Experience of material development, preferably involving new product introduction within a manufacturing site (desirable)
- Knowledge of materials processing and process control (desirable)
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting: Demonstrates an understanding of internal and external factors having an impact on the business performance as well as understanding the current trends in the market.
- Process and Method: Proposes and implements robust solutions to problems that meet immediate and business needs, consults subject matter experts where necessary and challenges inadequate solutions.
