We are looking for a highly motivated graduate with a genuine passion for GIS, spatial analysis and data management to join their growing GIS team. The role, based in our Bristol office, offers an opportunity to learn and develop as part of a busy and collaborative European team.
SLR’s GIS team provides expert support and advice on GIS, geospatial data analysis and developing bespoke digital tools. They work on multidisciplinary projects alongside other technical disciplines as well as standalone GIS projects for a range of external clients. Projects are primarily located throughout Europe but with an ever-growing focus on more widely spread international opportunities. Projects are interesting, challenging and varied and our clients come from a range of sectors including Built Environment, Industry, Infrastructure, Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas and Power.
The successful candidate will receive expert on-the-job training from SLR’s talented team of GIS professionals, and will enjoy excellent prospects for progression based on performance.

About the role
As a Gradate or Project GIS Analyst, you will be providing mapping and analysis support to the Senior GIS wide variety of Technical Disciplines within the Europe Region.
The role will include:
- Georeferencing and digitising map data
- Creating maps/drawings for reports and Environmental Impact Assessments
- Capturing, managing and analysing data in GIS from multiple sources and in a variety of formats
- Preparation and maintenance of data in ArcGIS Online Environments
- Working with the rest of the team to deliver projects to tight deadlines and budgets
- Adhering to QA process and standard for data management and drawing outputs
- Contribution to the smooth operation of the GIS team through active participation in team resource calls, supervision systems and knowledge sharing
About you

- Proficient in the use of ESRI ArcGIS and software extensions such as 3D & Spatial Analyst
- Working knowledge of geodatabases, Model Builder and/or Python
- Experience of using ArcGIS Online
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and build strong relationships throughout the business
- Good organisational skills with a proven ability to work to deadlines
