Job Summary
The Combustion Rental and Rapid Response Project Engineer role will require the successful candidate to manage our existing rental fleet, manage capital equipment design and manufacture through our manufacturing facility and contracting partners as well as ensuring rental projects are prepared, shipped to the relevant locations and provide on site support for the service engineer commissionging the equipment.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate technical knowledge or a strong base engineering knowledge within the combustion and/or oil and gas industry or be willing to learn and progress within an expanding business. The role will be office based however a key aspect of the role will be the requirement to travel, often at short notice, to customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The successful candidate job responsibilities:
- Manage Zeeco's fleet of combustion rental equipment.
- Assist in the design and preparation of engineering drawings (P&ID's, detailed review of manufacturing drawings, electrical drawings)
- Work closely with quality control to ensure the equipment is meeting relevant international standards.
- Have a good understanding of scheduling and scope of work requirements in preparation of equipment for Rental projects.
- Experience with project budget management and control.
- Work with the project and fabrication teams to ensure Rapid Response equipment is delivered on time, that rental equipment is managed appropriately for the industry (e.g. delivered with all appropriate documentation and in an operable condition, on return is inspected and maintained ready for the next rental or storage).
- Installation/commissioning and to fully support the client requirements with appropriate commercial considerations.
- Travels to customer's facilities to troubleshoot equipment problems, (e.g. installation, supervision and commissioning as and when required.)
- Manage rentals projects from client enquiry to on site delivery and commissioning.
- Prepare rental equipment for delivery to site.
Experience & Competencies:
- Engineering Background from the Process / Oil and Gas Industry.
- Relevant Engineering degree (Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering)
- Able to work under pressure
- Excellent communicator verbal and written
- Able to read engineering drawings and have a good technical knowledge of the industry.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; or a combination of education and hands on experience.
- Good overall multi-skilled engineering knowledge. Either mechanical bias with electrical knowledge or electrical bias with mechanical. Materials and/or PLC knowledge an advantage.
- Excellent team player.
- Resourceful, well organised, highly dependable, efficient and detail orientated.
- Confident and assertive.
- Ability to use initiative and make decisions autonomously.
- Able to work at heights
- Computer literate, proficient with Excel, Word and familiarisation with Sage accounting.
Further Requirement:
- Live within approximately a 1-hour commute to the Zeeco Europe Woolfox facility in Rutland, UK (LE15 7QT) or be willing to relocate locally (to be discussed)
- Must be able to drive, full UK driving license with own transport.
- Must be willing to travel worldwide to meet business needs.
