Perricone Farms is hiring a Continuous Improvement Project Engineer for the Production department for an FT position in Vero Beach, FL.

As a Continuous Improvement Project Engineer, you will work directly with plant management to improve manufacturing and production processes through lean manufacturing and other improvement concepts. This role will provide leadership and direction to drive the justification and management of capital projects for our facility. Responsible for the planning and coordination of technical engineering initiatives to make sure projects are completed within a budget and according to a set schedule.

• Investigate, experiment, and support the implementation of processes that will improve and maximize productivity.
• Provide coaching on lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement techniques.
• Provide manufacturing and packaging technical engineering support to implement new products and processes into production.
• Proactive problem-solving based on statistical analysis and data collection is needed as justification and performance improvements.
• The establishment of project objectives, procedures, and data collection methods need to develop future capital project planning and implementation.
• Working directly across all departments to assure that all project and equipment meet required standards for Safety, Quality, Sanitation and performance.
• Coordinate work and activities of Contractors involved in capital project completion. To include assuring adherence to plant safety and quality standards.
• Work directly with upper management in the process of quoting and estimation of future projects.
• Establish procedures and process methods to tracks the status of the capital project from start to close out of the project.
• Supervisory Responsibilities
• This position has no direct reports but will collaborate with other site leaders and manage contractors/vendors in support of specific projects.

Education and/or Experience:

• Engineering Degree preferred.
• At minimum continuous improvement/project management experience
• Lean 6 Sigma green belt preferred

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively one on one and/or before a group of customers, employees or vendors. Spanish bi-lingual is a plus.

Mathematical Skills:

• This position requires engineering skills and advanced levels of mathematical skills.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of how to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• CAD
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Lean Six Sigma green belt preferred
• Project management certification is preferred.
