Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Rochester. This position will be responsible for the design, development, and installation of new products and systems. The Project Engineer will work closely with our engineering team to provide technical support on all aspects of the project from conceptual design through installation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineering team to develop technical specifications and technical documentation for new products and systems.
  • Assist in the development of installation plans for new products and systems.
  • Perform field measurements to ensure that products are installed correctly according to plans.
  • Perform site visits to ensure that projects are progressing as scheduled.
  • Assist in the coordination of all aspects of the project including testing, certifications, approvals, etc.
  • Perform site inspections when necessary to ensure that projects are progressing as scheduled.
  • Prepare project reports when necessary.
  • Communicate with customers regarding status of projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college with a minimum 3 years relevant experience in the field of construction or related field(s).
·Proficiency in AutoCAD is required (preferred) and experience with building codes (i.e., IBCs) is preferred.
·Strong communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, etc. (must be able to write clear English). Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
·Excellent time-management skills; must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks accordingly.
·Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand walk bend throughout entire shift (70+ hours). Must be able to climb ladders up to 30 feet in height throughout entire shift (approximately 30 feet per hour). Must be able to climb stairs throughout entire facility; must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., weigh up to 100 lbs., move furniture weighing up to 100 lbs., etc.

Salary: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
