Jacobs is seeking two Project Engineers for an RFQ seeking to work on Eglin, AFB. Position is contingent on resume review and client acceptance as well as project task order being awarded. Submit your resume for consideration!
The Project Engineer should have professional knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the full range of engineering duties concerned with the design, installation, and inspection of equipment and systems for large military construction activity.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for enforcement of contract requirement for all assigned contracts, coordination with customers, contractors, designers, and Quality Assurance in order to determine appropriate changes necessary to the contracts and make recommendations to the Contracting Officer and Administrative Contracting Officer for resolution of modifications to contracts.
The Project Engineer assures that construction is accomplished in accordance with the plans and specifications, brings any deficiency to the attentions of the contractor and extracts compliance. Receives and checks for contract compliance of technical submittals from the contractor, such as shop drawings, catalog cuts, samples, etc., and investigates the need for contract change orders including consultations with the designer for design changes.

Task Order selections will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.602, the Brooks Act and local agency policy.

Here’s What You’ll Need:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of experience on large scale DoD construction projects, facilities, and renovations projects
- Personnel shall be experienced with USACE's 3-Phase QC/Inspection process and EM 385-1-1
- Demonstrate experience with reviewing submittals, contractor questions, RFIs, construction schedules, construction deficiencies, project issues, requests for equitable adjustment, and claims
- Provide written recommendations to the COR; compute time extensions; assist in preparing documents for change orders and claims
- Provide technical interpretations of drawings and specifications
- Provide engineering determinations on meeting the contract requirements
- Make practicability determinations from a construction standpoint
- Utilize Resident Management System (RMS)
- US Citizenship
- Familiarity with related engineering fields, such as electrical, mechanical and civil
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience and qualifications with construction management, specifically addressing change orders and claims, submittals and RFIs on USACE contracts, and associated documentation
