Job Characteristics:
- Work in a highly operationally demanding manufacturing environment.
- Develop project objectives and engineering scope for assigned capital projects.
- Must earn Process Safety Qualification within first year.
- Apply all safety process programs in the execution of capital projects.
- Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and tasks.
- Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
- Lead multiple capital projects concurrently.
- Maintain and update project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities with various technical departments (e.g. production, maintenance etc…) regarding project execution, resolving problems.
- Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
- Control project costs by ensuring that projects meet monthly financial forecasts and execute on time schedules.
- Assist in development of the plant project forecasting and budgeting strategy.
- Assist in development and utilization project execution standards .
- Experience in the following:
- Feasibility Studies
- PHA’s/FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis)
- IQ / OQ Process (Installation & Operational Qualification)
- CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, Verification) & Vertical Start Up
- Capital Cost Estimation
- TPM
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 1-2 years’ experience with TPM.
- Experience with process development and process validation.
- Experience in interacting and briefing higher level level leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to meet both corporate and local plant objectives and initiatives.
- No immigration sponsorship available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced technical degree a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification.
- Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Experience with SAP and purchasing software such as MyBuy.
- Experience with project scheduling software.
- Working functional knowledge of AUTOCAD.
