Job Description
This National Account Manager role is responsible for managing a key JDE customer developing our commercial relationship to grow the joint business. This is a broad National Account Manager position and involves full P&L ownership. The role is home based and requires travel to customer offices.
This role is key to JDE UK success so we are looking for a talented individual with a passion for developing core brand and NPD growth with the retailers. This role is an excellent route to further career progression within JDE and applicants must have both the potential and desire to progress in sales.
Key Responsibilities;
- Delivery of JDE Targets & Customer P&L including; volume, Value £, GP & GP% measures using tailored customer focused plans, NPD, promotional plans, in line with the internal commercial cycle
- Developing strong, long standing relationships across all functions within the customer and internally to ensure all necessary stakeholders are aligned to customer specific strategies
- Negotiating key terms and strategic change agreements
- Selling and embedding JDE category vision with appropriate instore execution
- Line Management and development of Commercial intern

For this role as a National Account Manager, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
- Must have commercial experience in a retail FMCG brand environment, including management of a key customer
- Experience needed in a previous retailer sales role is ideal
- Strong interpersonal skills; establishing and developing meaningful, collaborative business relationships and the ability to flex style to the situation / audience
- Proven track record of navigating complex negotiations and managing significant commercial strategic change
- Comfortable using a variety of data sources to inform decision making and to develop compelling selling stories
- Agility to flex to ever changing demands, both internal and external
