The Research Development & Support (RDS) office at Bournemouth University (BU) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Project Delivery Officer to provide operational support for a portfolio of externally funded research projects.
You will have demonstrable experience in financial administration (including budgeting and forecasting) and project management in a large organisation, with knowledge and interest in the research and knowledge exchange area of higher education, plus an understanding of external research funding bodies.
As one of a team of officers, advisers, and administrators, you will play a pivotal role in providing support for the University’s research and knowledge exchange activities, as well as being the first point of contact for academic colleagues with funded projects.
You will have great customer focus, be numerate and have excellent communication and organisational skills coupled with a commitment to service excellence. You will support the management of project finances and milestones, produce financial reports for funders, facilitate funding contracts, and support the translation of research. You will provide professional and specialist advice to academic colleagues on all aspects of post-award activity.
