Internal applicants of East Dunbartonshire Council only We have an exciting opportunity within the Business & Digital Change team at East Dunbartonshire Council to lead the delivery of our new Integrated Housing Management System (NEC Housing) We have an ambitious digital development programme to innovate and improve the delivery of services to our communities, businesses and residents. This post will play a key role in directly contributing to our vision of a digital council. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Project Manager with direct experience of delivering Housing Management Systems and who can deliver at pace and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include. Oversee the development, testing, end user acceptance and deployment of each module Undertake robust risk and issue management with appropriate escalation to senior stakeholders Undertake effective project reporting to the Project Board Strong knowledge of project life-cycle methodologies and delivering projects on time and budget Technical background or knowledge in relevant areas Strong decision-making skills Proven ability to build and maintain relationships Management of Project Team This post is for 2 years and sits within the Business & Digital Change team. The team are responsible for delivering digital transformation across all council services through the adoption of digital technology and digital thinking. Where the post you are applying for is considered Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council. Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate's first salary payment. In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee's wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by HR Services Lead. Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee's final salary. The criteria outlined above will apply to existing employees of East Dunbartonshire Council who apply for roles for which a PVG/Disclosure check is required.
