Job description
We are seeking to appoint an Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator for Associate Professor Jenny Taylor, to join her team at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford.
You will be responsible for planing and supervising induction of new members of the group, ensuring they are integrated within the group and the Centre. Identifying priority items of business and allocate tasks to group members accordingly. You will liaise with local administration (Business Manager, HR, Research Contracts, NDM Grant Management Team, and Finance Team) to monitor budgets and expenditure according to University policies and the terms and conditions of the funders, in order to meet deadlines.
It is essential that you are educated to an undergraduate level with significant relevant administrative and project management experience/skills. You will have substantial experience of managing the office and diary of one or more senior members of staff, including making complex travel arrangements. You will have core accounting experience to enable expenditure on grants to be tracked and budgets set. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including on scientific matters is also required.
