About us and the role
We are looking for an experienced HR Assistant & Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to work in collaboration with Govinda’s management team to ensure colleagues are recruited, onboarded and trained effectively and efficiently.

What will you do?
- Liaise and take advice from the wider HR Team and the School Improvement Lead for Inclusion to ensure compliance with regards to internal policies and procedures and safeguarding guidance as defined by the Department for Education.
- Monitor the placement of agency colleagues, volunteers and contractors, etc., and ensure the completion of the relevant documentation and that appropriate screening checks are carried out by all necessary stakeholders.
- Undertake any necessary training to be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) for Govinda’s and ensure this is updated as per statutory guidance.
- Ensure that Govinda’s colleagues read the relevant part of Keeping Children Safe in Education and that this is recorded correctly and in a timely manner on the SCR.

What are we looking for?
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- Previous experience and understanding of generalist HR processes
- Experience in prioritising varied and conflicting work demands
- Experience in the use of HR & Payroll systems
