Can you provide project support within Lancashire County Council's Capital Programme and Property Review Teams?
We are offering exciting opportunities to join us in Lancashire as we develop and deliver our capital building programmes and property reviews across the county.
The Role:
The Asset Management Service provides strategic management of the council's property, school and highway assets to ensure that they meet the aims of the Corporate Strategy and support service delivery across the county. Roles include s trategic management of the portfolio of operational premises to ensure they are fit for purpose to provide effective service delivery to the people of Lancashire, identification and review of the building and accommodation requirements of the county council, the development and delivery of capital works to the council's property and schools portfolio, commissioning works to address health and safety and ongoing maintenance.
The successful candidate will provide project management support within the Capital Programme Team and play a pivotal role in project and programme delivery enabling the authority to meet its key objectives and statutory duties. Or as part of the Property Review Team, provide strategic management of the council's wide and varied property portfolio (schools, operational, and non-operational premises) to ensure that our property assets enable the delivery of corporate priorities.
About You:
The successful applicant will have experience of coordinating complex projects and working with a range of different service areas to meet challenging deadlines and collate the detailed information required to deliver desired outcomes. Adaptable and resilient, you will have excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with strong organisational skills.
Highly developed critical thinking skills are required, alongside innovative problem-solving ability and experience of successfully managing complex issues and requirements.
With a proven history of effective partnership working, you will have the ability, expertise and confidence to both work collaboratively with, support and challenge internal and external stakeholders and partners, including a wide range of professionals and senior managers.
This is an essential car user post; you will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. In certain circumstances consideration may be given to applicants who, as a consequence of a disability, are unable to drive.
