We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Manchester office on a full-time basis to support engineering teams in managing and delivering their projects by assisting with resource planning, financial planning, and management of projects.

Key duties:
- Support Project Leader/Project Director to successfully collaborate across the external & internal team
- Assist in managing and maintaining the project change control process and supporting documentation
- Support Project Leader with preparing, monitoring, and responding to programmes to ensure sufficient time is allocated for the engineers to complete a design.
- Support Project Leader / Project Director with monitoring and maintaining project finances - this may include monitoring fee spend against planned, chasing job leaders for ETC updates, and managing reimbursable expenses.
- Assist Project Leader / Project Directors to assemble invoices and supporting documentation for submission to clients; maintain and implement invoice schedules; and monitor fees and payments against schedules.
- Support with managing document records in line with the BH Quality Management System.
- Track and monitor the QA procedures (design reviews carried out, environmental checklist and PDC completed, H&S information issued) and report back to the Project Director at agreed intervals.
- Assist in the collation of project data, preparing and updating project reports as needed.
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of procedures to ensure documents issued are checked, correct and complete before release as befits a leading design consultancy of Buro Happold’s standing – where concerns arise, relay feedback and proper procedure back to engineer teams.
- Prompt Job Leaders and Project Leaders to ensure compliance with Design Review procedures.
- Help to facilitate project coordination touchdown sessions between BH design disciplines.
Your skills and experience:
- Proactive and approachable attitude when dealing with internal and external customers.
- Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Proficient communication skills, comfortable conversing with senior staff members across the practice.
- Organised and able to plan ahead to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise tasks appropriately.
- Sufficiently perceptive to spot possible problems and take appropriate action to address or escalate as needed.
- Enthusiastic about delivering excellent performance; takes responsibility for own delivery.
- Can identify where processes may benefit from improvement.
- Previous experience working in an engineering / construction background (advantageous).
- Experience of supporting a multi-disciplinary team of people as well as working on a one-to-one basis (advantageous).
