THALES are looking to recruit a Project Controller to be based in either Bristol or Crawley for our Under Water Systems division.

We are looking for a talented Project Controller to join the Project Management Team by providing specialised Project Controls support including the provision of accurate, integrated and meaningful bid and / or project planning and reporting.

- Responsible for the deployment and performance of Project Controls within a Portfolio or Project
- Integrated Master Schedule Creation (IMS) & Baseline Management
- Implementing and operating change control across programmatic baselines - ensuring clarity over the Performance Management Baseline (PMB) and forecasts vs the PMB at all times
- Performance Management
- Analysis and reporting
- Ensuring resource forward load is accurate and timely, including the analysis of resource profiles (labour and material) and making recommendations to reconcile anomalies and optimise deployment
- For more senior positions, providing coaching and guidance on best practise Project Controls to Project Teams
- Where necessary support the “troubleshooting” of problem projects
- Facilitating independent and/or peer reviews on assigned project(s)
- Ensuring all deployed processes and tools are compliant with relevant company processes
- Where appropriate, providing Subject Matter Expertise for deployed tools
- Promoting a continuous improvement culture to Project Control processes: creating innovative solutions to improve local efficiency, ensuring ‘lessons learned’ are captured and incorporated, contributing to wider capability improvement across the Thales PMO community
- Support ad-hoc duties that will be consistent with the nature of a Project Controller position within Thales
- Bid and/or Project Management
- Supporting all stages of project lifecycle (I.e. from Bid through to Closure and In Service Support)
- Supporting a broad range of project types
- Use of Primavera P6, Acumen FUSE, Deltek COBRA, Sword Active Risk Manager (ARM) software
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders in complex environments and working across functional boundaries
- Using best practice to support the structuring of complex engineering projects including the WBS and IMS, ensuring the baseline is captured and realistic and conducting Critical Path Analysis
- A strong track record of successfully designing, deploying, operating and/or improving the full range of Project Controls in a context relevant to Thales
