We are looking for a Senior PMO Consultant to pioneer a new role in MindGym as we take on larger and more ambitious change for our clients. These projects typically span multiple workstreams, that are highly integrated.
Job Summary:
The Senior PMO will provide advice, guidance, and oversight to our project managers, designers, solutions specialist, and clients to ensure that the key account programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Senior PMO Consultant will work closely with our clients and creative team to refine project scope, develop and manage cross-workstream project plans, and manage project risks and issues.
The Senior PMO Consultant will also be responsible for developing and implementing best practices based on experience, and ensuring that they are applied consistently across all projects. They will partner closely with our existing senior project managers to pressure test existing plans and think creatively around our current system and process constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with MindGym's team of senior project managers to refine project scope, develop project plans, and manage project risks and issues to ensure alignment across workstreams
- Develop project plans that consider the interdependence of different workstreams and their impact on overall project outcomes
- Develop and maintain project management templates and artifacts that facilitate systems thinking, including impact maps, ecosystem diagrams, and feedback loops
- Coach and support the wider project team on effective knowledge management and information sharing to enable more effective cross workstream integration
- Challenge our team and client on feasibility of executing plans in a real world environment, based on the resources available
- Help our client prioritise their own decision-making process and stakeholder management
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to client and internal stakeholders in a simple and succinct way
- Partner with commercial teams to contribute to financial forecasting and planning
- Develop and implement best practices, processes, and tools for project execution
- Conduct project management training and workshops for our consulting teams and clients where possible
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment
- Experience working in the industrial sector (energy, manufacturing, automotive, etc.) with large international corporates across multiple cultures and time zones is desirable
- Experience working in change management and transformation projects is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques that support integration across multiple parallel workstreams
- Experience in preparing C-Suite Level summaries in PowerPoint presentations that succinctly, and in a structured format
- Experience in working with excel and partnering alongside commercial and finance functions on financial forecasting and profitability tracking
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients
- Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for working in learning, behavioural science or human cognition a must.
