Job Title: 2nd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: Up to around £32,000 per annum plus excellent benefits (see below)
Hours: Core hours are 7:30am to 5:30pm with shifts to cover these times (your working pattern/shift rota will be determined during the interview process dependent on company requirements and/or your circumstances)

As a 2nd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer, your role will involve:
- Communicating with customers over the phone, by email and chat, and logging 1st and 2nd line support issues
- Using your investigation skills to determine what actions need to be taken, endeavouring to resolve 2nd line incidents
- Passing simple resolutions to the 1st line team and complex issues to the 3rd line team
- Ensuring customers’ core infrastructure relating to servers, networks, firewalls, storage and telecoms are monitored to ensure availability, performance, operability and security is maintained to a high standard
- Providing advice, guidance or coaching to other colleagues as required
- Striving to achieve continuous improvement by carrying out relevant training and keeping up to date with new releases of Microsoft cloud solutions and other relevant technologies
- Visiting local customer sites from time to time to provide support with projects or carry out any on-site support that cannot be resolved remotely
SALARY PACKAGE & BENEFITS:
Salary: Between £28,000 - £32,000 pa depending on relevant experience plus performance related bonuses.

REQUIREMENTS:
General requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2-3 years’ 2nd line infrastructure support experience
- Experience working for another Managed Service Provider/IT reseller (desirable)
- MS-900 certification (or be committed to achieving this certificate during 6-month probation)
- Strong telephone and written communication skills
- Proactive, able to manage your own workload and priorities, and commercial awareness
- Enjoy self-development and strive to improve skills
- Full driving license with access to a vehicle
- Have experience supporting the following technologies:
Technical requirements:
- Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online & Azure Active Directory
- MS Server 2012 upwards, DHCP, DNS, Group Policies, and troubleshooting performance issues
- Desktop support – MS Office Suite, Anti-Virus, etc.
- Key Networking Principles
- Advantageous : Firewall administration, VMware/Hyper-V Virtualisation, Backups, N-Able, or other qualifications such as MCP, MCSA, VCP, AZ-900 or similar.
