APCO’s Strategy and Campaigns Team is looking to hire a Project Consultant who is excited by the way in which digital technology is changing the communications landscape, is interested in working on data-driven research and cross-channel campaigns and will thrive collaborating and leading client projects with other team members in our dynamic and growing team.

Role requirements:

Project Consultants are involved in the day-to-day support and coordination of client projects by conducting research, drafting materials (digital copywriting, activity reports, credentials and proposals) and supporting more senior members of the team on client deliverables.

Key responsibilities would include:

  • Running data-driven, digital landscape research and analytical reports for clients and prospective clients.
  • Supporting client accounts and campaign deliverables: e.g., social media content calendars, long-form copywriting for blogs, measurement reports, social media community management, paid advertising/media buying; coordinating with designers on the developing of creative assets.
  • Active participation in internal and client meetings, offering knowledgeable observations and suggestions.
  • Ability to maintain email/telephone contacts with clients as needed, without requiring a supervisor to intervene on routine matters.
  • Coming up with creative ideas for how to improve services to our clients.
  • Supporting on new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will be/have:

  • Able to work across a diverse portfolio of clients and sectors (e.g., food and beverage, technology, healthcare, energy, environment and sustainability).
  • Experience of one or more of the following:
  • Research experience: experience running research using digital tools such as social media listening platforms, and/or data science techniques.
  • Campaign/communications experience: experience working on campaign or communications assets, such as: social media copywriting, community management, long-form copywriting, paid advertising/media buying, creative assets, measurement reports.

Highly desirable skills include:

  • Previous communications agency experience
  • Data science, statistics, or open-source intelligence (OSINT) research techniques
  • Experience working with social media listening tools or other artificial intelligence (AI) media monitoring applications.
