THE ROLE
We are looking to bolster our kitchen team at The Oak Tree Inn in Balmaha, recent winner of SLTN's Gastropub of the Year. We are hiring for chefs of all levels, from trainee chefs with minimal experience, up to Kitchen Manager for the right candidate.
We have immediate start available, as well as opportunity to join us in the new year.
You don’t need previous experience to join us as a trainee chef, all training will be provided. It’s all about what you can bring as a person. So if you are looking for a change of career, this could be for you.
We will also be recruiting for a Kitchen Manager. Working alongside our Cluster Kitchen Manager, for this role we ask for a keen eye for detail, a passion for excellent food, the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a true leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES VARY, BUT OUR NON-NEGOTIABLES ARE:
- Maintain high standards of operational and personal hygiene at all times in compliance with the Food Safety Act.
- Take pride in all aspects of your performance and the food you plate up.
- Adopt a 'clean as you go' policy within the kitchen to maintain the utmost standards of cleanliness.
- Work with our current, excellent team, and be polite and courteous at all times.
- Be adaptable, and show a willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-35 per week
Salary: £10.42 per hour
