International Engagement
Full-time Fixed-term (23 months) £24,873 per annum

About the role:
The postholder will be responsible to provide project support to the International Touring Exhibitions team.
The postholder will support content development of the future exhibition portfolio, facilitate and coordinate the production of exhibition materials (catalogue, panel and label text and contextual materials) and marketing materials. This role is most suitable for an individual whose long-term ambition is to be an exhibition project manager.
Key areas of responsibility:
- To provide general project support functions to international exhibition project teams, as required
- To act as liaison with exhibition stakeholders and suppliers, both internal and external, on behalf of the Department
- To assist in dealing with internal and external enquiries to the Department
- To support project managers maintaining project documentation (eg, schedules, risk registers, budgets), files, image databases and project archives
- Maintain all international relationships at the highest possible level and adopt a diplomatic, tactful and professional approach at all times
- Ensure that activities are carried out in line with the Museum’s strategic plan, particularly in relation to its international strategy
About you:
- Proven organisational and administrative experience. Ability to meet multiple deadlines
- IT literate. Ability to use proficiently a range of administrative software packages including Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint
- Experience of working as part of an office team
- Ability to prioritise and work with minimum supervision under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Flexible approach to changing priorities and requirements
- Able to work effectively as a team member contributing ideas, information and back up in group situations
- A sense of tact and diplomacy and the ability to adopt a culturally-sensitive approach.
- A demonstrable desire to work in the Museum/Cultural sector
- Time management and organisational skills
