About the role

Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Service needs a project assistant! Can you help?

This new role will be supporting family carers at their first point of contact to the service and offering administrative support to the wider team with a range of services and initiatives?

As part of our team offering support to those caring for someone who has difficulties with their mental health or problematic use of substances or alcohol you will:

§ Be the first point of contact for family carers accessing the service.

§ Resolve queries and requests at earliest point of contact

§ Provide signposting information or to make referrals to other services where appropriate.

§ Provide administrative support to the project.

§ Building relationships with external, local and national organisations and community groups.

§ Gather data and produce reports for the Project/Team Manager

About you

With the ability to be solution focused, you will be able to engage with people from a range of backgrounds, to help find solutions that suit them.

You will also understand the impact a family caring role can have and you will have an awareness of mental health, problematic substance or alcohol use and how this can impact the individual and those around them.

You will have the ability to make appropriate referrals such as safeguarding and signposting to wider support.

All of this will be supported by your excellent planning, organisational and IT skills.

This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, which will be carried out following acceptance of any offer made to the successful candidate
