Project Assistant Gravesend, England

GES SYSTEMS
Full Time Gravesend, England 15 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

About us

Grixes Electrical & Security GES is a commercial security and electrical installation company. Set up 4 years ago, has grown significantly in the last year and 2023 is promising extremely exciting opportunities in the UK and Europe. We are recruiting heavily for the 2023 contract commitments and readying the team to take us into 2024.

The nature of the role needs Meopham office attendance, 2 to 3 hours a day, Monday to Friday – although the actual daily hours are open to discussion.

Job Summary

To assist in the day-to-day operational tasks to ensure a successful, profitable outcome for site activities.

Tasks Specific to The Role

1. Ensure costs are accurately recorded and allocated to the correct jobs, enabling post-completion comparison of budget Vs actual.

2. Book and manage accommodation for contractors working on GES sites including overseas and national. Ensuring charges are within budget and accommodation is suitable for our team members.

3. Have ownership of our labour booking system RotaCloud. Ensure site time booked is accurate and cost summary reports are accurate.

4. Manage the onboarding process for new contractors.

5. Monitor and manage the GES training program. This includes skills analysis and allocating relevant training courses.

6. Work closely with the owner to identify process and structural changes to enable the most efficient and effective operational function.

Person Specification

There is no requirement for construction-specific experience, although remote project management experience will be useful.

Very importantly you will have a proven aptitude for rapid understanding of web-based applications (including of course the full MS suite) and being an ‘Excel geek’ will win you a Golden Ticket.

As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to work in a structured and task-oriented fashion. Whilst full training will be given, the position will not be ‘overly-managed’ requiring ownership and a determined attitude for delivery.

This is an opportunity to join a driven and professional team, own your tasks, and be challenged in a fun and positive environment.

The nature of the role needs Meopham office attendance, 2 to 3 hours a day, Monday to Friday – although the actual daily hours are open to discussion.
