Creating an efficient and energised student journey
The School of Law is looking for student/customer-oriented individual to join the programme support team. Working as part of the wider team to deliver cutting-edge programmes of learning, you’ll help guarantee an excellent journey for all students that enter our Law School. Use your excellent customer service skills to carry out key operational tasks related to each learner’s journey in conjunction with key stakeholders across the business. This includes communications to students, clients and stakeholders inside and outside the school, responding in a timely manner to administrative queries.
What you’ll be doing
Acting as a point of contact for all queries and offer excellent customer service and issue resolution- Handling inbound telephone queries from students
- Providing regular communication to learners regarding their programme of study
- Ensuring that accurate student records are maintained and used for planning e.g budget forecasting, timetabling, and progression
- Providing accurate reporting to management and other stakeholders
- Working with key teams to ensure learners have appropriate access to timetables, virtual learning environment, library and other appropriate resources
- Providing safeguarding support to students following policies and procedures
- Monitoring learner attendance and follow up in line with student engagement policy
- Liaison with other internal departments as necessary
- Regular and accurate maintenance of appropriate programme information systems (e.g. SharePoint and Banner)
- Contribute to the development of appropriate programme systems and processes

Candidate criteria
Candidate Criteria
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and students
- Customer service experience
- Experience of working in an academic environment
- A relevant degree or experience working in Higher Education is a huge plus
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Skilled in planning, organising and prioritising workloads
- Excellent IT skills (particularly Excel) – developing new solutions and processes
- High attention to detail and strong administration skills
- Ability to coordinate complicated operational challenges
- Experience of working within a service delivery environment working towards KPI's and SLA's
- Strong creative problem-solving skills – self-motivated and proven under pressure
