About the role
This programme manager role will play a key part in delivering one (or more) of the programme work streams aligned to our BTC strategy , you will also take part in transformational projects as well as taking responsibility for the governance of complex projects within Retail.
You will work closely with the Senior Management Team, leading on projects and working closely with internal and external stakeholders including operational staff, volunteers and suppliers This role will give you the opportunity to work with a variety of workstreams throughout Barnardo's (not limited to BTC) and will give you exposure to the fast-paced commercial landscape that is Charity Retail.
The role of the programme manager will never see two days the same; the scope of the BTC programme will see you working across a diverse range of projects giving you a holistic view of all the moving parts within BTC.
About you
To be successful you will be self-motivated, forward thinking and committed to seeking new ways to deliver value for the charity with excellent project management skills', a focus on high quality client service, strong relationship and stakeholder management, with a problem-solving mentality.
Due to the fast paced nature of this role and of the BTC directorate, you must have the ability to effectively forward plan whilst also showing agility by applying rational thinking for on the spot decision making.
The nature of the projects this role will both support and deliver on will all be at different stages of their own project lifecycle. You will have to demonstrate the ability to manage cross-organisational working for a variety of different requirements and deadlines.
