Programme Manager – 6 months Contract Role- Inside IR35

The Programme Manager will be responsible for defining, managing, and delivering a coherent set of activities across a significant programme of Digital and business change, and/or a portfolio of projects within a specific business or technology area. The Programme Manager will need to be able to define, in partnership with the relevant senior stakeholders, programme scope, benefits and business outcomes. They will also need to coordinate any technology solution assessments, if required, and oversee commercial and procurement processes. The Programme Manager will deliver the programme and/or project/s to the expected standards of time, quality, and budget, including reporting of associated plans, risk, and issues to Executive leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage project activities / delivery team.
- Identify and manage RAID items within the programme and escalate where appropriate.
- Manage project change (scope, time, budget) within agreed tolerances or escalate changes accordingly.
- Follow agreed governance standards across the project lifecycle.
- Team management and Support Digital Transformation objectives.
- Support supplier management performance processes, including monthly reporting of supplier time, cost, and quality metrics.

- 7+ years’ experience of Digital / IT programme management delivery role would be preferred.
- Experience of financial management up to £10m per annum would be added advantage.
- Experience of Agile and/or Product Management delivery methodologies is must.
- Line management experience of up to 10 direct reports would be preferred.
- Customer centric delivery experience is must.
- SAFe Practitioner, Scrum Master or equivalent would be added advantage.
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent would be added advantage.
- ITIL v3/v4 or equivalent would be Desirable.
- Information Technology or similar qualification to bachelor’s degree is desirable.
- Utility or public sector industry experience would be preferred.
- Certification/experience of SaaS and/or cloud-based application management is desirable.
- Certification/experience of DevOps tools, processes, and methodology is desirable.
