Programme Manager
Glasgow
As a Barclays, Programme Manager, you will be part of Consumer Risk, Finance, Treasury & Liquidity Technology (CRFTL) who are accountable and responsible for the effective management and ongoing development of a number of key applications, systems and platforms within RFT. You will work alongside extremely experienced team which compose of all experts in their individual fields.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. What will you be doing?
• Delivering and managing three plus complex projects simultaneously, Budget typically > £1.5m. of projects to plan, budget and agreed quality and governance standards
- Leading project teams engaged throughout the full delivery lifecycle
- Delivering projects regarding the business strategy from business case through to initiation, requirement analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and closure
- Managing the project end to end including the IT elements of delivery
- Working on Experian programme to successfully complete of the migrating 300 use cases by partnering with projects manages across the bank that will implement the changes
- Working with management to help define and implement aspects of the strategy and vision
- Identifying, assessing and managing project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, escalating as appropriate via the agreed governance framework
What we’re looking for:
• Proven track record of providing good leadership and direction; delivering complex technology solutions on time, within budget, to agreed scope
- Excellent stakeholder management at all levels
- Experience of working with Technology to deliver complex projects; across multiple business areas, functions and locations
- Experience managing direct reports through a matrix structure
• Delivering large scale programmes in a financial or regulated environment
- Experience working in an agile project team
- Project management Qualification and/or equivalent training/experience
- Consumer Credit Risk experience and knowledge acquired with a leading bank and/ or consultancy
