As part of our exciting growth agenda, we are seeking an experienced Programme Director with a consulting and delivery background to join our highly talented team, working on the pursuit and delivery of major consulting-led transformational engagements, providing subject matter insight, expertise, and leadership, whilst developing our people and capability.
As a programme director, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver digitally-enabled transformation programmes for a range of clients within the energy and utilities sector.
As a director in our business, you’ll help set the strategy and plan for our sector, driving forward our business, demonstrate our values and behaviours every day, and coach and develop junior members of the team.

Your key responsibilities
In your role as a programme director, you will shape and win new opportunities, shaping the programme and the deal, defining and delivering the programme governance, structure, resourcing, delivery approach and competitive commercial model to successfully deliver the change that solves our clients’ most pressing challenges. To achieve this you will need to work with and across a range of our teams within Capgemini.
As a consulting leader, you will:
- Leading and managing teams to achieve high quality delivery.
- Contributing to our propositions, in conjunction with our global network, to enable our success in the market.
- Contribute to growing our energy & utilities business and our team.
- Leveraging the power of our global Capgemini organisation to drive high quality delivery and client success.
- Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll be generating c.£2m of consulting revenues.

Your programme experience means you will have:
- Successfully won and delivered digital transformational programmes that encompass customer care and billing and/or work and asset management solutions, in programme director, programme/project manager and other project roles.
- Knowledge and experience of delivering programmes in the energy sector.
- Strong commercial acumen in creating the case for change, the associated programme budget and costing, and having delivered valuable outcomes for clients.
Your general and consulting experience:
- A strong understanding of what drives project and operational performance and experience in deploying scalable business and technology solutions
- Significant experience gained within consulting in the energy and utilities sector
- The ability to collaboratively create winning solutions - taking a client issue, and working with the client, account team and across Capgemini to create a solution that the client can approve – you’ll have business development targets of ~£2m per annum
- The ability to develop and lead diverse teams, spanning the client environment, multiple business unit and multi-national

Irrespective of your office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.
