This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team at the University of Worcester in the Programme Advisory Service. We are seeking to appoint a Programme Adviser who will join a small and friendly team, situated within Registry Services, delivering advice to students and staff across the University.

The role of the Programme Adviser is to assist students with the planning of programmes of study, underpinned by the Taught Courses Regulatory Framework. Applying the regulations to progression decisions and checking these for accuracy in preparation for Board of Examiners meetings is a key element of the role.

The successful candidate will be required to respond to enquiries received through the telephone advice line, deal with online automated requests, reply to emails and, if requested, carry out face-to-face appointments with students. The nature of the enquiries made are wide ranging and the successful candidate must be able to assimilate complex information, communicate this clearly and refer to other services within the University where appropriate. This role requires excellent people skills to navigate complex issues with empathy and compassion.

The University is seeking applicants with a positive approach to service delivery, adaptable to change, keen attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional service. Located in Registry Services, the role offers a variety of duties and responsibilities linked to the wider activities undertaken by the department throughout the academic year. This may include supporting examinations, award ceremonies and registration. As a University, we are committed to providing an outstanding, inspirational and inclusive student experience and these values permeate our work.

From 1 August 2023, the salary range for this role will increase to £29,605 - £36,023, with the opportunity to progress to £39,348.

Informal queries regarding this role are welcomed and should be directed to Jane Wagstaff, PA to the Personal Assistant to the Academic Registrar, Registry Services on [email protected]
