Drawing on the University’s world-leading expertise in climate science and policy, Oxford Net Zero aims to transform policies and practices at multiple scales to achieve net zero emissions and sustainable development. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious research and engagement programme on one of the most high-profile environmental issues. As Programme Administrator, your role will be to support the day-to-day administration and processes of Oxford Net Zero.
You will be responsible for implementing core team administrative systems and procedures, including monitoring and evaluation and responsibility for organising team meetings and the annual strategy day. Working with the Comms Manager and Programme Manager you will host hybrid events including team seminars, and you will provide support on financial matters and contribute to the preparation of reports to funders, Advisory Boards and other bodies. You will manage ONZ diary commitments for Prof Sam Fankhauser (Research Director), and support diary management for Dr Steve Smith (Executive Director).
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly and accurately, verbally and in writing, including correspondence, minutes and reports. You will have excellent computer skills and a high standard of numeracy including the ability to manage finances. The ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload, and work to deadlines is essential. You must have diary management skills, including organising meetings and making travel arrangements.
This is a part-time appointment (18.25 hours / 50% FTE) with the option of flexible working arrangements) and will be available for 2 years in the first instance.
